Caravan and Camping Parks near the Dandenong Ranges

Camping in the Dandenong Ranges would be an added bonus when visiting the area, sadly though, we do not have any campgrounds or caravan parks within the Dandenong Ranges National Park. We do have plenty of cottages and accommodation options though.

Not too far from the Dandenongs, a few caravan and camping parks are available, including a free camping option near Gembrook. There is also a Vintage Caravan accommodation option near Olinda, listed on Air BnB.

Kurth Kiln Gembrook – this is a free camping option.

Kurth Kiln Regional Park is in the Eastern Dandenong Ranges near Gembrook. The campground is basic with one ‘long-drop’ toilet, excellent fire pits and tables. It’s quite a large area with most of the sites on Scout Loop road where yards are also available for people to bring horses to ride on the trails. The historic area is well worth a visit even if you are not camping, read more about Kurth Kiln in our review.
