Trees Adventure – Go Tree surfing in Belgrave.
Set in the Glen Harrow Park Gardens, this is a brilliant adventure activity for kids and adults. Tree surfing on zip-lines, clambering over obstacles whilst suspended high above the ground – it is not for the faint-hearted! Even the ‘entry-level’ course is quite a challenge and will give kids as well as adults a good work out.
The 5 courses are colour coded, each one becoming progressively harder with the black being the ultimate challenge for anyone 13 years and over.
Glen Harrow Park is a stunning location, massive trees provide a multitude of options for the course with a magnificent Algerian Oak tree being the centre of attention. The 150-year-old oak is the ‘home’ tree, where all courses originate from.
After an incredible 2 hours of tree surfing, climbing, stretching and negotiating the top 3 levels of the course we indulged in delicious snacks at the Botanist Cafe which is on site (open weekends only).
Another trees adventure course can be found in the Otway Ranges, not quite such a spectacular setting as this one, but it has some really good ziplines!
Safety at Trees Adventure
“We have the most state of the art karabiner safety system available anywhere in the world. We are proud to be one of the first adventure parks in the world to incorporate this technology!”
The systems in place at the Trees Adventure Park are first class. Each participant is given a harness with carabiners and a helmet before going through an introduction to how the harness system works. Everyone has to demonstrate they have a clear understanding of the procedure to clip themselves safely onto each element. Read the FAQ’s on the Trees Adventure website.
Staff are available at all times if help is needed.
- Each session runs for 2 hours. Entry is free for observing.
- 1 adult must participate with up to 4 children aged 8-12 years.
- Kids between 4-7 years must have an adult supervisor who remains on the ground.
- Anyone 13 years and above may participate on all levels, but do keep in mind that the top two levels require good upper body strength.

Safety First – Each participant goes through a session to explain the use of all the gear and clipping safely onto each section of the course.
Each course begins at the ‘Home Tree’ The base of the beautiful old tree is home to numerous coloured coded ladders extending up the trunk.
Once on a course, the fun really begins with a different challenge at each landing point. Excited voices can be heard everywhere and people are seen gliding down zip lines, suddenly emerging from the tree canopy and clambering over obstacles way up high.
Covered decking areas can be booked for groups to use as a base. They are also available for use if not booked… first in, best dressed….
